Illuminated Stand Magnifiers System Vario

The System Vario illuminated stand magnifiers are our most popular product line and offer tremendous flexibility.

Features Include:

• Large, easy to manipulate on/off switch.
• Red ring below head indicates when power is on.
• Stabilizing leg integrated into handle, eliminating potential for loss (photo 5 and 6).
• Batteries are inserted at bottom end of handle - similar to a flashlight.
• Rheostat to adjust brightness is located on top of handle (photo 7).

The System Vario heads have the following additional features:

• A red, flip up orientation line on the 3x, 4x, and 5x round heads assists user in orienting to text (photo 2).
• A 4D flip up lens on all the rectangular heads offers extra magnification for orientation or for small print (photo 3).

The System Vario handles are available in four illumination options:

1. Incandescent Battery Handle 1599-1 (photo 4, bottom handle)
   This portable handle requires two "C" batteries, not included, which typically last approximately eight hours.
2. Halogen Plug-in Handle 1599-204 (photo 4, middle handle)
   This format is recommended for extended reading because battery life is not an issue. The life of the bulb can be extended by reducing the brightness with the rheostat.
3. Halogen Battery Handle 1591-704 (photo 4, top handle)
   Perfect complement to the plug in halogen handle, 1599-204, for the user who requires portability. Recommended for quick reading tasks. Uses 3 "C" batteries, not included, which last approximately three hours.
4. Incandescent Battery Handle 1540-8
   This portable handle requires two "C" batteries, not included, which typically last approximately eight hours.

The magnification heads are available in powers ranging from 2.8 x to 12.5 x with both round and rectangular lenses.

To stabilize the handle when using the larger magnification heads, pull out the stabilizing leg until it "clicks" into position at its maximum length.

should be retracted into the end cap by squeezing the middle tab and
pushing the leg into the slot provided.

All System Vario magnifiers can be ordered in one of 3 ways:

1. with a battery handle (1599-1)
2. with a plug-in handle (1599- 204)
3. without a handle (handle should be ordered separately)

These options can be distinguished by the numbers following the hyphen in the product order number.
